Thomas Charles Lasorda

Said to bleed Dodger blue, LaSorda is in his sixth decade with the team. As Dodgers manager for 20 years, Tommy won World Series championships, four NL pennants and eight division titles. He managed seven Dodger players to Rookie of the Year honors. Catcher Mike Piazzas brother Thomas is named for LaSorda, who is Thomas’ godfather. LaSorda now serves as a Dodger executive and as a goodwill ambassador for international baseball. In 2008, he was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun by the Emperor of Japan for his contributions to Japanese baseball. In 1997, he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
