Douglas Anthony Mirabelli

Doug played for the Giants, Rangers, Red Sox and Padres before returning to the Red Sox for the 2006 season. He became the personal catcher for Red Sox knuckleballer. A career part-time player, Doug became the only player in Major League Baseball history to hit six or more home runs in six consecutive seasons of fewer than 200 at-bats. Since his retirement, Doug has become a real estate broker and high school baseball coach in Traverse City, MI. Doug and his wife Kristin raise funds for the Catch ‘Em All Foundation, dedicated to improving the lives of children in the Grand Traverse area.
