Victor John Angelo Raschi
B: Mar 28, 1919, West Springfield, MA — D: Oct 14, 1988, Groveland NY
With Allie Reynolds and Eddie Lopat, Vic Raschi was one of the Big Three pitchers for the Yankees in the late 1940s and early 1950s. From 1946 to 1953, Raschi was dominant, winning 120 games while losing only 5. Vic led the AL in won/lost percentage in 1950 and strikeouts in 1951. He was a factor in the Yankees dominance in the era. As a batter, Vic once drove in 7 runs in one game, an AL record for pitchers. Traded to the Cardinals in 1954 and then signed by the Kansas City As in 1955, Raschi never regained his earlier form and retired.
