Kevin Ray Tapani

A second-round draft choice out of Central Michigan University, Kevin pitched for the Mets, Twins, Dodgers, White Sox and Cubs during his stellar thirteen-year career. Tapani became a starter the Twins, finishing fifth in Rookie of the Year voting in 1990 and helping the team reach the 1991 World Series. Kevin finished seventh in the AL Cy Young Award voting that season. In 1998, he posted a career high nineteen wins for the Cubs. Kevin retired in 2001 and settled with his family in Minnetonka, Minnesota, where he coaches youth baseball.
